The Caputo family have been serving the Fair Lawn area for over 50 years. Not a day goes by without someone asking if we are the original Caputo’s from Caputo’s Restaurant in Fair Lawn. The answer of course is yes, and its reputation is still alive after being closed for over 40 years. Papa and Momma Caputo brought their cooking talent from Italy and passed their traditional cooking style down to their family.

Our father, Vincent, opened Vinnie’s Lunch in the 60’s featuring home made Italian-American foods. Vinnie’s Lunch offered great food at reasonable prices and turned into “a food factory”, as one patron put it, serving up to 90 dozen eggs on some days and hundreds of Entrees. After dishing up that many meals ala cart, the next step was a natural to go into catering.
